Balaton

In celebration of the end of the semester, we decided to go to Balaton for a relaxing weekend by the lake. After a short train ride, we arrived at a beautiful house in a quiet, serene neighbourhood. We spent the evening watching the sunset over the marsh and cooked up some juicy discount meat over the bonfire. We also roasted marshmallows over the fire- Misi described the taste of it as burning plastic, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it! The next day, we spent the morning trying to find a sandy beach, but apparently they don’t exist in Hungary. We settled on tanning and swimming by the port, but got kicked off the pier and had to relocate ourselves to the marsh. Koffi joined us that evening and biked over 60 kilometers to find us! We spent the rest of the night sitting by the fire and enjoying each other’s company. It was the perfect way to end off a wonderful semester of Erasmus with TF!
